Visual Investigations of Natural Phenomenons is a Plattform for Tamara Knapps Artistic Projects, Workshops and Collections. In this field she deals with the connection of mixtured realities in their naturalistic stated derivation.
An investigative approach of collaborative as well as own initiated artistic works in dealing with natural phenomenons visually as well as methaphorically. To find more experimental works klick here.
Teufelswand
Coded and 3D scanned collection.
While being away hiking around in Harz experiencing some fascinating natural stone sculptures. Creative processes and my fascination for abstract material never stops so I started scanning all these different stone textures and combined them in a visual coded system.
Natural Artifacts
Over a long research on natural phenomenons a colorful formstudy has been developed.
Deprofundis
Poster and calligraphic element for —> De Profundis by Pascal Marcel Dreier @psclmd The exhibition is curated by Leonie Fischer @leoni504 from Symbiotic Lab @symbioticlab_
Hallucinating Gradient
A graphic tool based on the symbiosis of gradial colors and shapes. Through an interface it is possible to interact with the system and create your realtime moving image.
Stone X, Y, Z
Through a visual and scientific research on the natural materiality of stones digital scans have been collected to unwrap the transformative behavior of a stones composition of form and materiality.
Segments of a Cell
Tamara Knapp worked together with the Department of Bioinformatics at the Hans Knöll Institute in Jena. There she examined datasets of various cells; fungi, fluorescent and neutrophils.
Flow
Together with Xaver Hirsch a long time analogue printing tool research with ouer lovely printer »tutuso« has been one of our on going projects. Through scanning mechanisms and a deeper research of pure analogue form generation and form deconstruction an archive has been created and is still expanding.
Working Jewellery
A first starting image collection of jewellery and workshop situations expanded into a digital video performance consisting of decoded materials and tools combining the fluidity of a workflow and an artistic piece.
Depicting Entropy
Graphic <> Image // Static <> Motion
A graphical research as part of my master thesis of the possibility of formlessness and the inclusion of time and duration in graphic design.
The Chopped Off Head
The Chopped Off Head Magazine is a fashion magazine, an artist book and an artwork. The title of the project was inspired by the thought of these artists chopping their own heads off to give the viewer an insight into a world only existing in their minds.
Dis/Assembly
The interdisciplinary symposium "Dis/Assembly of Performative Things" is dedicated to performative practices in design. Over the course of two days, international representatives from science as well as design and artistic practice will come together. The workshops, performances and lectures invite to think about design with and through the body.
Ivory
Isolation and emotional as well as body perceptive connections come to ourselves while listening to sounds. For this piece a one hour video art work has been filmed and then decoded. Colours merge into another. A body driven by its surrounding sounds.
